talawe sept 07

Talawe never tires. Talawe is exquisite. Talawe provides that kind of opportunities for bird lovers and birdwatchers that it is quite an experience visiting this place time and again.
Talawe produces some rare sights of nature every time. Every day is a new day offering wonderful sightings for nature lovers who visit it. Talawe is not far from the din and noise of the growing city of navi mumbai. In fact it is right in the heart of this burgeoning metropolis.
Last year we were rewarded with the wonderful sighting of the ISABELLINE WHEATEAR.
This year we Julius, jacob, alok and myself, were rewarded with the wonderful sighting of MOON MOTHS . At first sighting , we were so overjoyed when Julius sighted them that we mistook them for Atlas Moths. We were corrected by Isaac, Jacob later in the night.
Anyway this was really a wonderful sighting which we will cherish.

STONE CHAT

PLAIN PRINIA
JUVENILE PRINIA . It was so nice observing these juveniles from such close quarters.
This raptor probably a short toed eagle was spotted by Julius with his eagle like sharp eyes. would require a confirmation from expert birders.

A dragon fly perched like a plane about to land. There were lots of dragonflies and in fact this birders paradise Talawe is also turning out to be a butterfly territory . There were lot of butterflies, Danides, common tigers, blue tiger, crimson rose, and many more.

the last but not the least the laughing dove. Hope i am right.
